You know the story. December 31st is filled with ideas of how to change yourself in the coming year: lose that extra 10 pounds, start a new exercise program, eat better, start a new project or job, take up a hobby, find a new relationship (or improve the one you’re in). And the list goes on.
So why is it that it’s first week of February and once again your resolutions have gone by the wayside? Or worse yet, why is it that you’re actually trying but still not getting the results you hoped for?
I have the answer. And I bet you haven’t thought of it.
What if the answer isn’t that you lack willpower? Most people have more willpower than they even realize.
What if the answer isn’t that you’re lazy? I kind of doubt you are.
I’m going to suggest an answer that you probably haven’t considered. It’s a problem that you may not even know is a problem, but once solved is a game changer in every area of your life.
Here it is:
Your resolutions failed because you just don’t have enough gas in the tank to see them through!
The ‘gas’ I’m talking about is hormones. Hormones are the fuel that feeds your inner fire.
- Hormones make you motivated
- Hormones give you energy like the kind you had in your 20s
- Hormones help you sleep better
- Hormones burn fat
- Hormones build lean muscle
- Hormones improve sex drive, sexual function, and sexual satisfaction
- Hormones increase your metabolism
- Hormones improve brain function
- Hormones improve work capacity
What most people don’t know is that hormonal decline begins as early as your late 20s and continues for the rest of your life. So you’re probably not too young to benefit from replenishing your hormone levels.
You might be thinking to yourself, “Yeah, but hormones cause all sorts of problems like cancer, heart attacks, hair loss, and aggressive behavior!” If you’re thinking this, I’m here to tell you that this is simply not true if you use the right formulations of hormones in the right dosages.
In fact, having healthy hormone levels has been shown to protect against:
Coronary Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Diabetes, Strokes, Degenerative Arthritis, Sleep Disturbances, Osteoporosis, Immune System Decline, Sexual Dysfunction, Decreased Protein Synthesis, Macular Degeneration, Colon Cancer & Breast Cancer.
I believe so strongly in hormone optimization that I’ve been taking hormones since I was 31 years old. I’m 47. My mother, brother, sister and cousins are all on hormone replacement. As well as the thousands of patients I’ve had the opportunity to help. And it’s been life-changing for all of us.
I am working toward having hormone replacement therapy be standard of care in mainstream medicine. Meaning every person would have their hormones optimized after they reached 30 years old.
If you optimize your hormones, it will put you in the very elite percentage of people who are actively engaged in taking control (to the extent you can) of managing your health for the most positive outcomes.
So schedule an evaluation with me and we’ll see how low your tank is. We’ll fill it up to where it should be so that 2017 truly can be the year where those resolutions are realized!
